8 Year Engagement Will Make You Believe In True Love

Based on a true to life story of Hisashi Nishizawa and Mai Nakahara. Both introduced by friends and fell in love with each other. After dating for two years they were engaged to be married. The couple started to plan their wedding until one day Mai's couldn't recognize his fiancé. Such a heartwarming story of pure and sincere love for his fiancée that he waited for 8 years for her to remember him. I'm so glad they made this into a film and it's so glad that it's Takeru Satoh and actress Tao Tsuchiya who played the role. A very challenging role for Tao Tsuchiya and she's amazing! And Takeru Sato he proved time and time again that his one of Japan's most talented actor. He's not only good at sword fight but he can also make you cry. If you haven't seen this film go ahead and give it a try. The facing of the story is kind of slow, very typical of a Japanese film but overall it will make you believe in true love.

Identify Your Plants Using Your Phone

I bought a plant during a plant expo in our market about 2 years ago. It was labeled blueberry so without hesitation I bought one. I was so happy and excited to own a blueberry because blueberry is considered a super fruit and also it is very rich in anti-oxidant. But after 6 months it bears fruits and to my dismay it was not a blueberry. So I wanted to search online to find out what kind of plant I bought but how can I search the name of an unknown plant?

But recently I discovered that there's a list of app in google play that you can install that will help you identify the name of a plant. In your mobile phone click go to Play store icon and type identify plants. Choose your desired application and install. It is very easy to use, just take a picture of the plant or you can also upload the photo then choice are given for to choose which plant on their archive resembles your plant. Also the app requires you to be connected to internet to access online record of plant.

The next time I buy a unfamiliar plant I'll make sure to bring my phone and double check the plants identity.

Stir Fry Bitter Melon Recipe

Bitter melon also known as bitter gourd  is a unique vegetable that is not known for its bitter taste, but also for its medicinal health benefits.  Bitter melon is is very low in calories, carrying just 17 calories per 100 g. Also bitter melon is known for its ability to manage diabetes, it contains phyto-nutrient, polypeptide-P, a plant insulin known to lower blood sugar levels.

Despite its amazing health benefits, not all of us like the bitter taste of this amazing vegetable. Cooking bitter melon can be easy and when cooked right, it can be very delicious. Some
presoaked the bitter melon in water to or squeeze the juice to lessen  the bitterness, but that would lessen the nutrients that you get. I prefer not to soak or squeeze the juice to avoid losing the nutrients that our body need.

Ingredients:

1 bitter melon
1 onion chopped
3 cloves of garlic chopped
Shrimp (optional)
1-2 Egg
salt and pepper to taste

1. Slice your bitter melon as thin as you like
2. Sauté onion and garlic
3. Add shrimp (optional)
4. Add the bitter melon
5. Lastly, beat the eggs and add to your bitter melon and let it cook partially
6. Add salt and pepper to taste

Remember, don't stir too often or it will cause your bitter melon become more bitter.

DIY Homemade Garlic Powder

Garlic powder is one of the condiments that are always present in our kitchen, it adds flavor to our favorite dish. In making fried chicken garlic powder is a must have seasoning for me. I really love that garlic flavor in my crispy fried chicken. So, since I'm a big fan of garlic powder I decided to make my own garlic powder. It's very simple and easy to make and you can save a lot of money. Not only that you can save money but you can also make sure that the garlic powder you use is 100% pure garlic with no added msg, preservatives and any other stuff that can be harmful to your body.

I made my garlic powder without any sophisticated kitchen tools. Yes, you read it right, no dehydrator, no oven. Well, you can use oven or dehydrator if you want but I made it by placing it under the heat of the sun. Since it summer and it's super hot, the hottest summer ever, I try to take advantage of the summer heat.

I simply sliced my garlic as thin as possible and place it under the sun for 2-3 days or until it's all dried. Then when it all dried I grind it using a mortar and pester or a food processor and your homemade garlic is ready to use.

Broccoli Juice

When I was a kid I never eat broccoli, in fact I never knew what's broccoli. Even as an adult I seldom eat broccoli and I eat it cooked. I never eat it raw! But I read a lot of good reviews regarding how healthy this green vegetable. It is rich in vitamin B6, B1, vitamin A, vitamin E, copper, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids and dietary fiber. Just wow! How good is that?

Since one of my life goal is to eat healthy as much as I can I came up with my own version of mixed fruits with broccoli juice. I gathered all the ingredients that I can find in our kitchen and made this yummy broccoli juice.

I mixed banana, apple, cucumber, water melon, mangoes, and BROCCOLI.

It actually surprised me that this broccoli juice can be so delicious!

Apple-Calamansi Juice For Summer Heat

It's been months of tremendous heat! The fact that we're experiencing el niño in summer makes it hotter. There's been no rain for a very long time. That is why I decided to share my beat the summer drink. It's very simple yet so delicious! All you need is a calamasi and an apple. You can substitute calamansi with lemon or you can even use mango instead of calamansi. Calamansi is very common in South East Asia and it is very inexpensive.

Ingredients:.
1 or 2 apple
1/2 cup calamansi juice
1/4 cup honey or sugar
4 cups cold water
ice (optional)

Put the apple in the blender and blend it well. You can put some cubed apple to the finish product.

Squeeze the calamansi juice and separate the seeds from its juice. Then you can mix it water, blended apple, honey or sugar then your ice. You can adjust the measurement of you calamansi juice if it's too sour.

You can use honey for sweetener or any kind of sugar but personally I prefer to use brown sugar if honey is not available. Adding sweetener will depend on how sweet you want it. I like mine to be not so sweet preferably no sugar for me cause apple is already sweet but most people want it sweet so it's really up to your liking.

Happy drinking!
